In the year 2000 in the age of two, she began dance classes. Later, she participated in school plays. As a child she started appearing in ads for local companies. After graduating from the theatre program in Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, she was accepted into Loyola Marymount University in USA to pursue her study. Professionally, in 2007, Mikaela Hoover debuted with the film "Frank,". Her next film was the lead actor for "Sorority forever". Then, she played the role of 'Humanzee' after an audition in front of James Gunn.
