Milena Markovna Kunis was born to an Ukrainian Jewish family on August 14, 1983 in Chernivtsi, a city in the Ukrainian SSR of the Soviet Union (now Ukraine).Her mother, Elvira, is a physics teacher who runs pharmacies, while her father, Mark Kunis, is a mechanical engineer who is a taxi driver. Kunis is the elder sister of, Michael. Her grandparents were survivors of the Holocaust. Russian is her mother language.
